CS/PS pooling is a top priority and cutting edge project within Vodafone Germany optimizing traffic routing, reducing delay, improving user experience by introducing resilience into Vodafone packet/ circuit switched 4G/3G/2G network. The project will result in increased revenue by cutting losses up to top €44 million.

My role was to support the phased rollout of a packet core network built with combined SGSN/MME and GGSN/PGW/SGW supporting 2G, 3G and LTE access. The role required resolving ongoing issues, assessing risk events, managing stakeholders and controlling the project in conjunction with internal/external team members while paying particular attention to Risk and Quality. This resulted in the shortening of software development processes from months to weeks. * Collecting Low level design documents from Nokia, CISCO, Huawei, Ericsson, and internal Engineering departments, validating them based on the concept of CS / PS Pooling. * Creating an E2E Solution Design based on these input and clarify the gaps with all necessary departments. * Supporting tooling department on open questions regarding tool design and operations on technical questions regarding the solution design. * Providing support during type acceptance phase of the project. Ensuring that the TAcc is aligned to the Low Level Designs (LLDs) * Reviewing existing network infrastructure built of multiple core combined SGSN /MME and GGSN /PGW/SGW systems and the E2E configuration to provide successful phased rollout * Establish and maintain customer relationships across all levels of the organization including executive levels. * Manage projects to completion within agreed timescale and quality * First point of contact for all customer or vendor delivery or service support related activities * Identify, plan, review and mitigate against risks * Engage and discuss with relevant stakeholders on the compliance-related key points * Coordinating and supporting all troubleshooting activities, validation of approved changes. * Ensuring the system availability is maintained in line with defined service level agreements * Monitoring quality assurance measures and tracking project deliverables. * Identifying and implementing corrective actions (RC) and assessing the effectiveness of corrective actions. * Maintaining communication with project stakeholders and managing their expectations. * identifying and promoting new features and enhancements which would improve the overall performance of the solution being implemented.
