Description: ALIAS is a system used by paramount pictures for Archiving Digital assets like movies, trailers, subtitles, songs etc. The Old way of archiving films and assets in a movie studio is expensive, error prone and risky. So Paramount studios decided build ALIAS which will archive all the new and old assets in digital formats in Digital Storage. These methods will be much cheaper and easier to manage. ALIAS has both windows based and Web based UIs. The whole system is built using latest service oriented concepts. A Lot of 3rd Party tool integration also had to be done to achieve all the business needs. Well known 3rd party tools like Aspera, Xytech Media Pulse, Rhozet, DIVA is used for File Transfer, Transcoding and Tape store respectively.
