As Quality Inspector for the offshore Wind Park "MERKUR", to be built in the German North Sea, I am stationed at one of the main Fabricators of this Project in Aviles, Spain. Main components are Transition Pieces, External Working Platforms, Termination Platforms and Boat Landings. Main tasks: * Supervision of the steel construction works on foundation structures. * Assessment construction progress. * Validation of design documents * Planning and realisation of acceptance tests of components. * Preparation of LoP Lists and NCR. * Participation of regular Quality meetings.

Description of the main principle tasks & responsibilities: * Site Welding Supervisor: * Follow up of Contractual requirements, GE specifications and PED requirements on welding and its testing with the subcontractors. * Performing Welder Skill Tests for all contractors. * Review & approval of Welding Specifications (WPS), ensure availability of approved WPS at the point of use. * Verify joint preparation prior to welding. * Monitoring welder identity, preheat temperature, interpass temperature, issue & use of consumables, check root pass quality, post heating and post weld heat treatment and insurances that data are recorded and signed off. * Execute inspection activities specified within the relevant ITP`s. * On time notification of inspection activities requiring Client and or NoBo. * Performing Final Inspections with Client & NoBo. * Site Non Destructive Testing Examination Supervisor: * Follow up with Contractual requirements, GE specifications and PED requirements in Non Destructive Testing (NDT) with the subcontractors. * Monitoring and verifying qualifications of all NDT specialists for NDT activities at site, NDT procedures and instructions for the construction site in compliance with contractual requirements. * Coordinating all NDT field execution activities with the Subcontractors and NDT company & timely submission of NDT records. * Managing the evaluation of all NDT records, completion and sign off of NDT reports with Subcontractors, Notified Body & Client. * Site Documentation Controller: * Monitoring and follow up the issuing of the Final Site Quality Documentation according to the project requirements. * Supports the Subcontractors and organising handling of the Final Site Quality Documentation, co-ordinates the work of the responsible parties, monitor and reports the status of Final Documentation. * Handover of the Final Documentation to my Customer GE two weeks after assembly completion.
